Thanks for the chuckles

Angelina, you're irresistable!

That had to be the funniest thing I've seen in a while. The look on her face... I'm still laughing.

Ring, ring, ring

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Bloody hell, how did half of London get my flown number? The damn thing has been going off all day.

Am heading out to Doblers tonight and then the Blast. Anyone wanting to join me for some drinks welcome!

Good excuse to ignore the owls and calls from Dad. I don't want to discuss 'it'.

Events

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's definitely been an eventful week:

Monday: Snog attack by Bethany Nock (my sympathies to Birch, poor bloke).
Tuesday: The Puddlemere meet & greet at Eduardo's (nice fans, but some were a bit too enthusiastic. I rather liked the shirt I was wearing, it didn't deserve to be shredded).
Wednesday: I don't even know quite what happened. Post game euphoria?
Today: Cleansweep Broom Company contacts me about endorsing their latest model. The Cleansweep 12 is a nice looking broom from the catalogue they showed me, but I'm insisting on a trial before signing any contracts.

What's Friday going to bring?

Kisses

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The lips of many a girl have graced mine. Some were pleasant, some were bloody fantastic, some were bad. Since this Welsh boy was taught a gentleman never humiliates a lady by kissing and telling, the intention was to keep the knowledge of who was the worst of all to my (far off) grave. However, there are some who don't deserve the title of 'lady' and Bethany Nock is one of them. Truly the most awful kiss of my career (not counting slobbery kisses from great-aunts). The Aurors better watch out that she doesn't start snogging them in an effort to evade capture.

Mari, cariad, your assistance is required to eradicate this dreadful memory!

On the upside, the game was bloody fantastic until that moment.

So much for a relaxing lunch. Was sitting in Green Owl cafe when the announcement came out about the fwooper. It's been a while since I've seen that level of panic - although I suspect the two women who were clinging on to my shirt had ulterior motives.

Managed to escape without losing any limbs (or clothes) and could have cheerfully hexed the idiot who ordered the creature.

In better news, I started doing some sculpture when I got home. Been meaning to do it for a while and it feels good to actually get started.

As for the current political hoo-ha, I've never been very political, but Miss Asteria Greengrass made some very pertinent remarks on the subject. Many of us carry around a lot of pain over what happened last year. I lost two people I cared about, my little sister went through that harrowing year with the Carrows and I couldn't help her, and of course, I had my own injuries as a result of the turmoil. Sometimes I'd love to be able to hit a 'reset' button and... ah to hell with it

Sad news

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Yesterday's report about reasons the Catapults tryouts were canceled is disheartening. I might be with Puddlemere now, but I have a soft spot for my old team and it would have been good to see them bounce back. Just wish I could have contributed more...

Well, it's no good moping. I'm sure there'll be other changes. Anyway, I'm heading to the Drunken Snidget for a drink and a game or two of pool. If anyone cares to join me then I'll buy the first round!

Yawn

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Usually I'm happy to face cameras, but right now I think I'd welcome sleep more than attending the ceremony at Wok'n'Roll. However, since I'm wide awake despite the early hour and I missed the run through then I should show willing.

Time zones are a bugger.

Mari, think about where you'd like to go on vacation - we have two tickets for packages.

Stranded

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mari, if you haven't heard, half the team is stuck in Malaysia. Oliver is raising hell so I'm confident we'll be home soon.

As Alicia says, at least it's warm. New Zealand is gorgeous, but it turns out we'd just missed a beautiful summer there and managed to catch the colder, wetter weather. However, I commend the capital city for some great cafes and the hills reminded me of Wales! Wouldn't mind touring around during the summer months and seeing more of the country, such as Rotorua and the volcanic activity there or the mountain ranges in the South Island.

Anticipation

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Tomorrow's match will be fun, no matter what the outcome. Playing against a really good team and having to work hard for the win is always better than an easy victory.

There is one question... Cho, who will you be cheering for?

Celebrations

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I didn't think about this before, but although St Patrick's Day is well-known and celebrated, few people know about the Welsh patron saint's day, St David's Day, which falls on 1 March. Since I was caught up with practice and auditions, I didn't note it this year. So, in addition to saying Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone, I say a belated Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus (Happy St David's Day) and will buy a round of drinks for all those who join me in the joint toast.

And I'm always ready to help the ladies who wish to increase their kiss total!

Olá!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Portugal is a fantastic country and vastly underrated in my opinion. Or maybe the win has given me the proverbial rose coloured glasses.

Of course, the last few drinks might have had something to do with it.

Wish the match had been longer, but can't argue with the result!

Adeus - there's more to drink!

A definition

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
pep talk
n. Informal
A speech of exhortation, as to a team or staff, meant to instill enthusiasm or bolster morale.

Oliver, mate, you're a great Captain, a great player and really know your stuff, but you definitely need to learn the definition of 'pep talk'.

Aside from the above, it's great being back on a broomstick and playing again. I've missed it, more than I realised, and I'm really looking forward to the first match.

I picked up a flown (001-20). Knacky little devices, aren't they?

Hard work pays off

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's been a long time since I flew as hard as I did today. I'd forgotten how draining and exhilerating the experience is, and I'm really glad all my hard work in physical therapy paid off. At this point I'd like to publicly thank the Healers who put up with me yelling, cursing, complaining and sulking through the process. If they hadn't pushed me then I probably wouldn't have gotten so far since May last year. I'd also like to note I'm singularly glad to be a wizard right now and not a muggle since we magical folk are a tough bunch and heal up faster.

So, even if I don't make it onto the Puddlemere line up, I know it won't be long before I'm playing pro again and putting an end to my lazy days of unemployment!

In other matters, this new gossip journal... Can't say I agree with Ms Davis' dislike of PDA, but then again, I've never been shy about demonstrating my affection.

Recovery

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I haven't written in this thing for a while, but I have an excellent excuse. I managed to catch a combination of Marietta's flu and the cold that's been making the rounds and therefore barricaded myself in my flat for the past week in order to keep from infecting anyone else with this plague.

However, I am pleased to report that I am now fully recovered and shall be taken advantage of Oliver's Christmas gift of passes to the Puddlemere gym. Perhaps this will also get the Healers off my back about physical therapy.

Mari love, I have neglected you terribly and insist on making it up to you.
